He's wrong about pressure to "overturn" the election. States with dueling electors based upon publicly available evidence of voter fraud and/or usurpation of those states election laws should have meant Pence sending those states back.

His silly narrative that ensuring the correct result is 'overturning' is awful.

Is it actually possible that he is just that dumb? Is he simply so stupid that he doesn't even understand what's happening? That can't be, right? He's lying, deceiving, misrepresenting.

He isn't dumb.

Actually, that excuse is used far too often for politicians. Most often when someone thinks these elites are dumb they've merely miscalculated the intentions of their actions.

The idea that one should " never attribute to malice what can easily be explained by incompetence" has been a get out of jail free card for politicians for generations. I think we should move beyond the idea that our leaders are bumbling idiots, instead of intentionally leading us down a path of destruction for personal gain.

Agreed. Though I forgot to say I think some of them actually are dumb and I chalk that up to them being puppets

All I'll say is his supposed betrayal has exposed all the bad actors. Even Trump said it took more courage for him to not do something. Pence has theoretically burned all his political capital. I'm waiting to see what the result is but pence might turn out to be the bravest person ever. Or he is the dumbest person ever. I could see both.

Trump goes back to being a billionaire and the swamp is exposed on both 'sides'. Pence is either a retard or sacrificed everything to expose the swamp

Was not aware he said not acting took more courage (would make more sense to me if he said it took more faith)... But being foolish and being dumb are two completely separate things & Mike Pence ain't a dummy

Another stupid Republican that thinks if we are nice and honorable they will be too. Stupidity. He followed the Constitution (he says) but do they? Nope!

The thing is, no one was making an argument for Pence to pick which electors he wanted. Look up Nixon/Kennedy and Hawaii in 1960. The only reason the few people say it was right for Nixon to gift it to Kennedy was because both sets of electors were certified, but there is no evidence of that, only evidence that Nixons were certified.
