Federal offices like Congressmen & Senators cannot be recalled. They can only be removed by impeachment or losing re-election. Governors can be recalled & I believe other state & local politicians can be recalled. California has successfully recalled one Governor & we're trying to rid ourselves of another right now. The fact we need another 500k signatures after trying for 6 months isn't a great sign.

for a recallable office you would need to get a certain percentage of signatures from eligible voters based on the number of votes cast during the most recent election. If the verified signatures are enough to trigger a recall then it goes to a vote of the people.

So in other words, a huge waste of time unless you can really guarantee enough signatures and committed votes. Then, for some offices, the open seat can be appointed by the party of the most recent occupant of the seat. So you might not get anything better to replace them to finish out the term. Of course, with all of this, it is all subject to state law.

The best thing you can do is entrap the elected official in official misconduct, crime, or scandal and force them to resign.

I think getting the signatures is doable. No need to force a resignation. But agree that the resultant election or appointment is problematic.

Yeah and if they use electronic machines then the vote will be rigged

Might be worth it to piss them off. Also opportunity to broadcast more cheating.
