In the original Hebrew, the word used in the story of creation means literal days, not metaphorical days. The world was created in the time it takes for the sun to rise and set 6 times.

It's debatable. From what I've read day is not literall.

If a 24 hour period is based on rotation of the earth and solar system then creation is backwards. Day and night are definied but there are no stars yet.

But there was light (Genesis 1:3 And God said Let there be light: and there was light.)

To have night and day requires a light source and a rotating earth. No sun or stars needed, https://creation.com/days-before-sun.
