It's debatable. From what I've read day is not literall.

If a 24 hour period is based on rotation of the earth and solar system then creation is backwards. Day and night are definied but there are no stars yet.

To have night and day requires a light source and a rotating earth. No sun or stars needed, https://creation.com/days-before-sun.
