The military is not on Trump's side. The enlisted guys are probably mostly on Trump's side, but the officers are not, and its gets more opposed to Trump the higher you go. Anyone who has made a career of the military is too used to the big defense contractor kickbacks and the US super-cop koolaid. They hate Trump not wanting to use the military to blow up third world shitholes.

If Trump called for the military they would not answer. The commanders would ignore it and most enlisted grunts aren't going AWOL because Trump asked for them. Nobody is sticking their own neck out if they don't think a sizable group will follow.
