Why didn't the NSA and Government just deny all wrongdoing like they did with the Snowden and Assange leaks? Serious question and perhaps a reflection.

If they were able to just throw their fingers into their ears when it came to rampant, obvious, and "in your face" voter fraud in an effort to unconstitutionally and illegitimately install the MoSt PoPuLaR pReSiDeNtIaL cAnDiDaTe In HiStOrY despite mountains and tidal waves of irregularities and evidence of their crime. Why didn't they just do that back then?
