I’m not paying another tax dollar to this corrupt shithole, especially in this political climate.
I’m looking to move to a red city/state, but somewhere within driving distance of Chicago. My whole family lives there, but for many reasons cannot move yet.
I’m looking for somewhere to open my business with fewer restrictions, and somewhere affordable while I get everything up and running. Somewhere where people don’t rip Trump bumper stickers off cars.
Any suggestions?
PS, Trump will still be President for another term!

Elkhart, Granger, Bristol, Mishawaka area of Northern Indiana is nice.
South Bend is the home of Commie Pete ButtPlug so it's not ideal.
RV industry is massive around here. Plenty of jobs to go around. Plus it's just like 1:45 minutes down the toll road from Chicago.
I'll be taking a drive around this area soon - thanks!
The only blue spots in Indiana are up there by Chicago and Indy, but even in those spots there isn't much strife between Ds and Rs. Southern Indiana is RED af. Ds kind of keep their political views to themselves. Trump didn't even have to campaign in Indiana because we are so reliably red. Fayette county has cheap property if you really can't afford a move. But Decatur, Shelby, Jackson or Bartholomew counties are good because they are dark red counties that have interstates running through the county seats making finding good paying jobs easier to get to.
Well, the good news is you're surrounded by some of the most red states in the union. Including Indiana. Though our governor is a bit of a cunt.
Unfortunately, I can't really comment on a good place for your business as that depends entirely on the kind of business you have. I will tell ya the interstate hub that is Indianapolis and the surrounding communities is/has seen quite a bit of growth last several years as companies place warehousing/distribution there. You can basically(if you route it right) reach from Wisconsin to some part of WV. A few good manufacturing towns in the state, too.
It'll be an independent movie theater, so being within driving distance of a major city like Indianapolis might be beneficial. Tricky balance of being accessible without tax-funding the destruction of city.
Might also take a look at places like Monticello, Lafayette, and Jeffersonville. Terre Haute maybe.
I hear ya though. I'd say if you're trying to avoid the tax-funding, you'd probably want to avoid the really big cities, or really messed up cities, like Indy or Gary, but that's just my opinion. Good luck my dude!
