Easy.... Trump was not allowed to block people since it was in effect the Government preventing free speech.

You can't speak to Trump right now on Twitter because Twitter has blocked his account.

You would no doubt be aware that the First Amendment (freedom of speech etc) only applies to acts of the Congress/Government. A non-governmental entity such as a company can block whatever speech they like. TDW for example, even blocks people who have not violated their own rules.

The Constitution really is an interesting document. You should read it some time.

Please explain why a company like Twitter should have the right to refuse service to the President of the United States because they don’t like what he has to say, but a small family bakery in Colorado canNOT refuse service to a gay couple on the grounds of their own religious beliefs, a characteristic that is explicitly protected under the law.

Yeah, but what about the bakery refusing ONE service to that gay couple? Because the couple sued, went all the way to the Supreme Court, and won.

Should a gay couple have more rights than the President?

Read title of post. Already decided in court twitter is a publice forum. Do you believe in the first amendment or not, fuckboy? Decide.

Don't try to weasel your way out of the answer. Twitter deemed by the courts as a public forum. 1st amendment applies. Do you support the 1st amendment? Anything but a yes or no means no.

Don't try to weasel your way out of an answer. It's been ruled a public forum, which is specifically what the first amendment applies to. Do you support the first amendment? Anything but a yes or no is a clear no.

Not a problem you'll be having of course. Post some more so that I don't waste effort deporting your single message.

  1. As someone else here stated, the term "Congress" in the constitution has been considered by the Supreme Court to include all of government. So for example, a public school cannot prevent the free exercise of religion, but also cannot mandate religious practice.

  2. Read the 13th Amendment.

if companies are immune to the constitution since it oNlY APlIeS to GubMinT then companies can own slaves, send private security to deny you abortions etc etc ItS a PRiVaTe CoMpaNy

also see kkk act. if a company is a person then they cannot deny you civil rights as the kkk act makes it illegal for people to deny other people rights
