So I couldn't help but notice something in Pence's letter to Nancy.

He says:

After the horrific events of this last week , our Administration's energy is directed to ensuring an orderly transition. The Bible says that “for everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven ...a time to heal ... and a time to build up.” That time is now . In the midst of a global pandemic, economic hardship for millions of Americans, and the tragic events of January 6th, now is the time for us to come together, now is the time to heal.

He's quoting Ecclesiastes 3. But he's misquoting it. And I believe on purpose.

"a time to heal" and "a time to build up" are in different lines.

Before "a time to heal", it says a "time to kill". Before it says "a time to build", it says "a time to tear down".

And in the same sentence, it says "A time for war and a time for peace".

Its a beautiful passage frankly, one of my favorite in the whole book. Full text here: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ecclesiastes%203&version=NIV

TLDR: Me thinks Pence is making a veiled threat, that there is a time to kill, and a time for war. Whether that time is now, is up to he democrats and their action.

Pence is a man of the cloth, he picked that verse on purpose. If he just wanted a passage that preached peace and love and forgiveness, there's plenty in there that don't also, literally in in the same sentence, allude to killing and war.

He's always been an astute politician, part of why I never trusted him. Too neutral, too smooth. Always calculated, never sincere.

Yeah he has the feel of a swamp monster. But its best to withhold judgment, until the very end.

Turns out it ended the day they mailed out ballots to every fucking creature living and dead in and out of the US. The swamp paved the way and the RINOs looked the other way, at the very least.

Interesting take but it is almost like he is excusing the time to kill/tear down as the past. We are probably overthinking it lol

hm. Further speculation:

  • a) Pence is a Christian, believes the word of the book.
  • b) Pence believes there's both a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time for peace and a time for war.
  • c) However these are dichotomies, if its not a time for peace, if its not a time to heal, if its not a time to build up, then it must be a time for war, to kill, to tear down.

The 9th and deepest circle of hell is for traitors. It's possible he would risk himself being put there to drag down the hundreds of other traitors in congress.

At least the title is correct

Mike 'Pussy' Pence is more likely just doing what all Christian politicians do. Hiding behind the bible as an excuse to be a limp dick and sound noble.
