they try and do that every year. It requires a constitutional amendment, which is only possible if the vast majority of Republicans also agree (virtually impossible).

Now that they got rid of a Republican president, through cheating, they can work on overturning congress to a democrat super majority. This is their plan

Supermajority is not enough, because it also needs to be ratified by 3 out of 4 states. If they were able to "rig" enough state legislatures to go along with this, they wouldn't need to get rid of the EC.

It's just a political stunt.
