I know I will I get responses from “god doesn’t exist” to “it’s not over yet” but I am just feeling hopeless. I got two small kids and don’t want them growing up where conservatives will be persecuted, they don’t have the right to vote or bear arms or speak freely. Sigh. Please god help us.

People blame God because they don't want to take responsibility for how they have exercised their free will. God doesn't let or not let anything happen. He gave us free will and this is what people chose to do with it... practice apathy and inactivity for these last decades when this communist crap could have easily been put down. The problem is that people only thank God when they find the pony under their Christmas tree. When they are made to face the consequences of their actions, they curse Him. They also blame God for the actions of PEOPLE.
Well said!
God has given us the freedom to do what we want, what's happening now is the result. So, seek your own salvation with trembling and fear. We are in the world but be not "of" the world.
Last year around May I felt hopeless and so I decided to revisit my own upbringing. For the first time in my adult life I started reading the Bible. Every day I'm reading one chapter out of the Old Testament and one out of the New. Reading the foot notes too. I check things off on a notepad as I go, to see my progress and feel motivated.
If you've never done that, I'd encourage you to try. Use a study guide if you want, but the most important thing is to make it part of your routine. Between that and a Bible Study I started attending, I've found a lot of answers and I am finding hope too!
Awesome fren. Keep it up. The Bible really is a magnificent read. I've tried to read it all the way through before and couldn't at the time. But I've found myself looking forward to reading it now. I guess my heart wasn't in the right place before. God bless you.
God never promised us a pain free worldly life. Our promise is in Heaven. I understand how you feel...especially since I also have small children. Faith is a blind step off a rocky cliff..we have to remember that God will put obstacles in our lives sometimes to test that Faith. You must be strong in that Faith and work through the obstacles. This, in the grand scheme of things, is little compared to what Jesus went through. I'm going to link you to a video I think will help you understand from John MacArthur. He does a much better job than I can explaining it all. Sorry for the YT link. It's the only place I could find it. https://youtu.be/wLk4Q1ML6RA
I don't question God.
Partially semantics. But God gave us a brain to question him and his creation.
By seeking to understand the mind of God we grow as human beings.
Never assume that you know better though, and only in that sense do not question.
I question lots, but getting into why... sometimes stuff just happens. If you start fixating on the why, it often leads to confusing the quality of the choice with the outcome, which is dangerous territory.
Wherever you go, there you are. We are all here, right now, because... Everything brought us here. Don't fret the why, just make a good decision right now.
True, but looking at the past and the reasoning behind past events helps you make better decisions in the now and hence even better ones in the future.
Of course, but that doesn't involve questioning why did god X?
In the earthly world yes. But the earthly world isnt the goal.
John 2:15-17 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.
You dont need to know why God did something, you just need to obey and live by his commandments. Everything else is of the flesh. Not the spirit.
Everytime you question gods mind you lessen your faith. God says he is unknowable. That you will get to him by faith alone. Why separate yourself from God for the sake of human hubris?
Questioning, in all its forms, is the opposite of faith.
Questioning and faith aren't mutually exclusive.
God made you in his image as the creator.
You can't create if you forfeit growth.
And you can't bring people to the divine light without exalting it through the creative process.
I’ve got 4 kids. I don’t know. To hell with Satan
Keep praying! It’s not over. May god reveal the corruption in our government.
Im not a religious person. I don't go to church. I do believe in God and pray for America every night. Last night my family sat down for dinner and said a prayer. Not the norm. We usually only say prayers at dinner on Easter Thanksgiving and Christmas. I always believed God gives us what we need. Not what we want. But most importantantly he gives us nothing we cant handle.
Why say youre not a religious person?
You clearly are even if you go dont go to church or have the relationship with God that you wish you did.
What faith you have is between you and God.
Please don't lessen it by denying it for other people's understanding.
God loves you and wants you to be proud that you feel it. Even if, right now, it's just a little.
If you are keen on helping people understand your situation better. Maybe a more accurate way of saying it is " Your not particularly active in your faith" rather than saying your not religious.
God helps those who help themselves. We allowed these leftist vermin for decades to take over without any push back.
Imagine Shitler and WW2 had never happened back then, but now when nukes are pointed at every place on earth.
Then ask yourself again, why God would've let Shitler play out.
The above is not even the tip of the iceberg.
Amen. Our country turned their back on God a long time ago. May God Bless you and yours.
Tagging out of curiosity.
God gave us free will. That is the meaning of life.
The reason we are here is God giving us the opportunity to decide if we want to be with him or not. He loves us so much that he will not force his self on us.
That is what people miss when they ask how could God let this happen or how could God let monsters into heaven if they repent at the last moment. It is not about the earthly world. Since Jesus gave us the ability to get into heaven he does not interfere in it.
God made earth so we could experience all things. The things that come from his love and the things that don't. He did this so we could make an informed decision.
The bible tells us that hell is a complete removal of God. That his light and love does not go there.
The pain and torture that happens there isnt of Gods making. Its the opposite. Its what happens in the absence of God. The evil of that place is just a world without Gods love. The things we & the fallen 1s do to each other there are a result of no longer being 1 with the Holy spirit. Hell isnt a punishment. It is just a land of beasts with no master.
So when you ask yourself why would God let this happen. Realize it is him bestowing upon you the greatest gift imaginable. Free will and the ability to recognize him through his love.
For all religions, this has been asked numerous times. As a Christian, I often wondered about when people go to war, both sides of battle are both praying to God at the same time, asking for the same thing, thinking they are on the Good Side. As we know, both sides obviously don't win, or even if the good side turns out to be the victor. God has a plan, and HIS "will" be done, nothing anyone can do about that. Also, as a Christian you have to trust in HIS PLAN, and HE does things for a reason. Remember, "Lean not on your understanding". Why is this happening right now to us, because we have turned away from God. This is happening for us to come back to HIM, or HE will end it all. Pray that the Lord reveal all the lies that the evil is doing, and HE protect us from all Evil. And, yes this is EVIL, this is not Rep vs. Democrats, or Donald Trump vs. the Swamp, or even the USA vs. China, as someone already posted, it is waaaay more deeper than that. This is Good vs. Evil at the highest level. God vs. Satan. Sounds crazy doesn't it? I'm sure all of us NEVER thought this would happen in OUR lifetime, as a believer, you always think "this will happen in the far future to your great, great, great, great X10000 grandkids, and they will have to worry about it", unfortunately we are the "lucky ones". Don't take that as a bad thing though, we will win one way or the other. I really do think the President was chosen to be the one. Donald Trump will not give up, cause even if he does, he knows they are going after him win or lose. He has a better chance fighting till the end, rather than giving up without a fight and losing the power of the military. That's why you have to stand with him, cause he is standing for us. The left's evil plan has been on going for decades, till some crazy businessman suddenly jumped into politics, and threw the plan off the tracks. Right now, the left knows that if Donald Trump is reelected, they will all be taken down. So that is the reason they are going all in with all this craziness blatantly. I honestly do believe some of these people were with the President at one time, but got compromised with blackmail. Think about it: Google/Facebook, Microsoft has ALL our stuff, they know everything we have ever done: Imagine pictures, emails, text... locations and things we've said over the phone, they have all that stuff. Blackmail is used for coercion on all these high political people.
It sucks, but sometimes God sees the truth, and waits
That's what the Christian Russians said during and after the Bolshevik Revolution. Now history has deleted their suffering and deaths.
