Look brothers and sisters... I'm right there with you. Everytime I'm in the store I grab a box if its there.

Why though? Is it one of these scenarios?

  1. We become like Venezuela and have to protect ourselves because the police are nonexistent

  2. We have to fight a war

  3. We plan on using ammo to barter with

  4. We plan on arming the local militia

Did I forget anything?

Here is the problem.. none of those scenarios make any sense.

  1. We already had to protect ourselves, for many of us police are miles away and we are the first responder. We didn't need stacks of ammo for a singular threat.

  2. If we go into a hot war, most of us won't be the one's fighting it. Yeah I know some of you fellers think your tactical and shit but the truth is very far from that.

  3. There are better things to barter with. Antibiotics, bic lighters, food.... and those are things you can continue to use if you're in a SHTF situation.

  4. I don't see any organizing. I don't see any ready to do much of anything as Communism grows stronger daily.

I'm not a fucking fed. I am however a person that sicks of seeing my brothers and sisters GET FUCKED from all angles.

Personally I think the fear that keeps you on Q's tit... complacent and waiting is the same fear that has you spending PRECIOUS RESOURCES on ammo and firearms that you'll never fucking use.

Were getting reamed on all sides folks and its time we wake up and realize that some of our closest allies might be our biggest enemies.

Bullshit. I'm already looking at casting my own bullets and alternative ways to make primers.

I'm a sportsman, a target shooter, a hunter. My granddad didn't have a fucking Cabelas to go to... how do you think he did all that?

About 40 million NICS check last year.... the highest ever.

And let me ask you - how much ammo to you think a person should have? one box? one Case? a few cases?

What do you think makes sense?

sir_rockness [S] 0 points ago +1 / -1

For me?

about 10-20 boxes for continuous target practice per caliber, for fun and brushing up on skills.

1-2 cases of 7.62 and 5.56 for assault/defense in a hot situation.

Several boxes of shotgun shells for hunting/defense.

Several boxes of rifle ammo for hunting.

I guess it depends on whether or not I'll ever be able to buy ammo again, right? Or if I think I can mfg. my own ammo going forward right?

Buy by the case, always saves a few dollars too....

There are millions of new gun owners this year, if they each buy the 11-22 boxes you mention, and every one else buys just as much or slightly more, that would be enough to clear shelves.

Plus the new gun owners are have to practice at a much less leisurely rate than you did.

Primer production cannot be ramped up very quickly, it involves volatile explosives.

Lmao you're not looking if you dont see 4

sir_rockness [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

I am looking. I know a lot of people. Even talked to retired operators.

They all said they are ready, but they are waiting.

Were gonna wait ourselves right into the gulag as far as I'm concerned.

Welcome to the black pill brother. I would encourage you to invest your money in systems of survival. A chicken can lay an egg and can forage, an egg can keep you alive in a famine. A good computer and an internet connection can mine cryptocurrency. Solar panels provide electricity. Gardens provides food. Ponds or swimming pools provide fish. The reality is our mechanization has allowed us to produce the food we need and everyone else can sit on their ass. We can't become like Venezuela because Venezuela gets food from the countries that likes it. However, due to the global food shortage, Venezuela has introduced a bill that would allow the government to force individuals to work in fields for up to two months at a time. We stop farming we starve to death. Quickly. No one is going to give us food Aid. No one else has it. We stop farming when there is no oil, there is no oil when their is no electricity. Communist countries never have enough to repair their infrastructure leading to an inevitable collapse. 20 years ago Venezuela had 40 ocean oil rigs in operation. If the last one isn't offline now then they are struggling to keep it running. What will America look like in 20 years?

Ammo isn't to barter with, it's to make sure the items you listed aren't forcibly taken.

...or to “forcibly go shopping” !

sir_rockness [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

You gonna do that?

See everybody talks big shit but its another thing entirely to take from your neighbors forcibly.

When the time comes it’s better to have it and not need it than not have it and need it..

you never know when Antifa or BLM doxed you and decide to attack you. You know the police will not be on your side..

1
sir_rockness [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah Antifa and BLM aren't attacking shit where I live.

1
hloblart 1 point ago +1 / -0

Even if there is nothing, you could be banned from buying ammo for a long, long time.

1
james7370 1 point ago +1 / -0

It's cause the government is coming to disarm us. Maybe you won't fight but some of us are getting ready .

If you think ammo is expensive now wait for the black market

1
sir_rockness [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Look that's a possible scenario. I'll fight back in that scenario.

But that's not a continuous siege. That's a single event where you need a mag to escape it.

If you fail in that event you die. If you succeed you'll have to escape and find a new place to shelter.

1
james7370 1 point ago +1 / -0

If you survive and get away your gonna need bullets down the road again. Average firefight uses 350 rounds so do the math.

It's not going to be a single instance if you survive the first you can guarantee others are coming

1
sir_rockness [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Seriously asking where did you get the 350 rounds figure?

That's 10+, 30 round mags dumped out of an AR.

Point being that's not sustainable as an individual no matter how much you have stockpiled. If we are in a situation where were dumping 350 every firefight we are in a kinetic war and none of us will survive if were fighting individually as partisans.

1
james7370 1 point ago +1 / -0

I get that figure based off the normal raid combat load of US infantry. Maybe I'm wrong but that's what I'm read.

If you are always on the run and play defense in a siege like you said then your correct. But if your trying to fight back guerilla warfare then your first objective is to attack supply depots and places of support and targeted ambushes which means to you choose when and how to strike. You won't fight everyday if you only hit one target every other week that means with 2000 rounds you can offer 2- 3 months of fighting without re supply for ammo. Not saying that's exactly how you would do it but the point is For everyday of supplies you have further increases your ability to have a sustained resistance until you can steal more supplies from enemies.

1
sir_rockness [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

I don't disagree.

Its just everyone is planning like they are going to do guerilla assault. My point is not everyone is going to do it.

We are so fucking disorganized. There is no way any of this transpires because were all LARPing it.

If it was really going to happen we'd have some people creating the ammo dump, some people organizing for support, etc., etc.

The Revolution ain't gonna happen fren.

1
james7370 1 point ago +1 / -0

That's always been the case in every war. Especially with non state fighters. Almost 99% of the population isn't gonna do anything. There are people out there though in that 1-2%. It's not going to be pretty and people will be called terrorist and they will die

I think the question I would have for you is does it matter how many people are willing to stand besides you? Does it change the right thing from being the right thing? If you have made the decision to fight then your decisions should drive solely from that

1
sir_rockness [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

I need a clear target and ROE to fight.

I'm waiting for that. That requires a clear war-time leader.

Once that occurs I'll see you there.

If nothing else as our Country gets flooded with "refugees" that have no respect for any law other than Sharia guns help our new neighbors respect us enough to not use the acid attack methods they've been using throughout europe

DING DING DING!!!!

We have a winner.

This is the question we should be asking.

1
Crusoe1960 1 point ago +1 / -0

I think we stockpile out of concern that sales will be regulated or restricted in the future. Still, I agree that purchasing ammo by the pallet may be a bit extreme - a case or two of any military caliber ought to be sufficient, right ? Most of us buy our hunting rounds in boxes of 20 !

You gonna do it?

You have "777" in your nic. If that's what I think its there for how do you think the good Lord will feel about that?
