I'd give it 30-90 days before all semi-autos are banned by excess taxation or stamps. That's a registry, and from there just confiscate.
Also, anyone with a CCW/Form 1, Form 4, etc will be on the same list. Then there's the existing issue of 4473 forms which changed to 1 sheet about everything of the buyer and S/N of the firearm. Very easy list of all gun owners recently.
