They've never once asked me to put on a mask either.

Kroger here in TX requires masks

ZombieVote2024 9 points ago +9 / -0

Do they, though? They have signs where I'm at in GA required but nobody has ever once said anything to me.

DonJr2032 5 points ago +5 / -0

They rolled out a nationwide mask mandate for all customers, before most states had executive orders requiring it.

Sandersballistics 5 points ago +5 / -0

Dillon's in Wichita made an announcement yesterday while I was in the store saying everyone had to wear a mask it is not an option come to front desk if you need one. I'm pretty sure it was for me but no one said anything to me directly!

goat_nebula 5 points ago +5 / -0

Just don’t wear one. It’s easy.

3
markolbb 3 points ago +3 / -0

People act like it's fucking impossible. Just don't put it on... done!

3
ModernKnight 3 points ago +3 / -0

The employees at the one closest to me has never asked me to wear a mask. They have the signs up, but the employees and managers do not care at all.

PoshityLifeOfTrump 3 points ago +3 / -0

Depends on the store and particular employees. There's one particular sup or manager or something that's anal about masks at the smiths (Utah kroger) where I am. Besides her, no one's said anything to me. Jiwt have to avoid that one fool or pretend to wear one through the entrance where she tends to camp out and then take it off once you're past the beast. One poor sap got the cops called on him at that same place last month, though.

Imagine being that out of control in your own life that this is your prime opportunity to control others. What a sad sack of shit that lady sounds like. I know some people are actually scared so if they move to the other side of the aisle I give them space. But that's as nice as I can be. I always ask people who have shenanigans going on the same question "what precautions were you taking during other flu outbreaks?" Because fuck them.

Amen and awoman

I think you may be right. TX Kroger shopper here. They have the signs but I see occasional no-masker and they are just ignored. They are the #1 grocer in America. Glad to hear they took this stance if true.

Forgotmypass666 1 point ago +1 / -0

I believe Kroger owns Smiths, who require a here in Las Vegas.

5
brownguy 5 points ago +5 / -0

Kroger owns Fred Meyer here (WA state). They've got a huge sign out front telling customers NOT to enter without a mask. They've got announcements going on the PA system talking about masks being REQUIRED.

..Yet I've never worn a mask in their stores. Never. Not a single employee has ever said anything (I've even purposely spoken to managers) and I've never been treated badly by them. In fact, one dude that works there and wears an American flag mask always goes out of his way to tell me (quietly) that he appreciates seeing me without a mask.

Point is, they have scared the 9/10 people at my local store to wear masks with nothing but a SIGN.

I wish I had one where I live!

Grocery store clerks would all be dead if it was a real.. and they aren't.

They know.

ClownWorldIsHere 14 points ago +14 / -0

Good job, Kroger!

6
DonJr2032 6 points ago +6 / -0

For what, being normal? For not being insane?

We should have higher standards than this...

8
ClownWorldIsHere 8 points ago +8 / -0

don't discourage us from praising that. Good job to Kroger!

remember1776 1 point ago +1 / -0

I love Food 4 Less

2
brownguy 2 points ago +2 / -0

Exactly. I'm laughing my ass of that Kroger is being praised for not being fuckin weird.

Good for them, yes. But this should be the norm.

12
Nice_n_tangy 12 points ago +12 / -0

It's because they have a union that would force them to pay for it- plus any related medical costs. Kroger are soulless scumbags.

6
Illah88zillah 6 points ago +6 / -0

Yup

4
Guillotifa 4 points ago +4 / -0

Most companies are. But its nice that they're covering their asses enough to protect their workers incidentally.

8
Sugz_Da_Bear 8 points ago +8 / -0

I will go out of my way to buy their products. Thank you for continuing to support CHOICE in America!!

5
DonJr2032 5 points ago +5 / -0

Lol, I'm already going out of my way to avoid shopping at Kroger, since they rolled out a nationwide mandate for all customers to wear masks.

2
Ebbie8708 2 points ago +2 / -0

We have Frys here in Arizona.

I really think Kroger’s quality of their products have gone downhill and it doesn’t justify the prices.

1
Sugz_Da_Bear 1 point ago +1 / -0

I live in a commie blue state, so everything is like that. Fuck, we have to wear masks when going through the drive through. I will shop Kroger for the choice of vaccination. I hope they will give other states the option on masks.

6
Tcrlaf1 6 points ago +6 / -0

If they require it, and it turns out to have long term side effects, they get sued into oblivion.

4
Illah88zillah 4 points ago +4 / -0

Kroger is not equal in different states.

Kroger aka King Sooper in Colorado is absolutely enforcing masks, and is hands down the worst place to shop. Rotten food and shitty employees

4
DonJr2032 4 points ago +4 / -0

The Kroger in my area is amazing. They have the widest selection of fruit, vegetables, meats, breads, and more. It's all in a big open area that feels like the most wonderful market you've ever been in. People from 200 years ago would probably think they died and went to heaven if they went in it.

I don't shop there any more unfortunately, as they rolled out a nationwide mask mandate for customers.

1
Illah88zillah 1 point ago +1 / -0

That how Kroger Arizona was, I think they had new stores. They were great there

3
DonJr2032 3 points ago +3 / -0

I'm not wearing a mask, so I just buy everything from commie Amazon, which I also hate.

Lose Lose

2
Illah88zillah 2 points ago +2 / -0

It sucks huge balls

2
Nancypelosisoldliver 2 points ago +2 / -0

I think each store is probably individually owned and part of thenfranchise or something. So each one is going to behave differently.

1
Illah88zillah 1 point ago +1 / -0

Definitely

3
Guillotifa 3 points ago +3 / -0

Oh yay. Love me some kroger. Would hate to boycott.

They also never say jack to me about not wearing a mask.

does anyone know if HEB in Texas is based?

how about Randalls?

No more Walmart, no more Amazon, cause fuck em.

1
Nancypelosisoldliver 1 point ago +1 / -0

I think they're wearing masks at least in the big cities. I know a buddy who worked security at an heb for a while and he doesn't seem to have many complaints. Any time im in Texas he's always telling me its a good place to shop compared to Walmart and such. I haven't really been in one though. I just kinda suspect in the big cities they have masks. I live in a small town in NM and no one bothers you if you're maskless and its not uncommon to see people without them unless you go to Walmart lol

3
TheBeardsman 3 points ago +3 / -0

That's funny, Kroger-owned chains in my area are cucking hard over mask bullshit.

2
HistoryInvestigator 2 points ago +2 / -0

Wow, they're pretty liberal in CA under the Ralph's brand. They have a lot of mask stuff and LGBTQ stuff

1
Dev404 1 point ago +1 / -0

When the CEO of Pfizer refused to be among the first in line to take his own company's vaccine over some bullshit excuse of "not cutting in line," you know there's something wrong with it.

1
Forgotmypass666 1 point ago +1 / -0

It doesn't stop their security from refusing to let me enter the store without a rag on my face

1
Xilient 1 point ago +1 / -0

Fuck kroger, they can't keep store shelves stocked to save their lives and my local one has the actually city police enforcing masks at the entrance.

1
FullAutoAssaultMemes 1 point ago +1 / -0

Kroger is about to get a shit ton of applicants

1
Nancypelosisoldliver 1 point ago +1 / -0

Kroger got stock I can buy? I'm going to check

1
WestCelt 1 point ago +1 / -0

God I wish there was a Kroger in St. Louis. Their all gone. bought out by the Shit Shnucks operation.

1
HookInMouth 1 point ago +1 / -0

Glad to hear it. My son works there and they have a great selection of Goya products

1
brownguy 1 point ago +1 / -0

Hilarious that this is even a thing. It should be huge fucking news of any employer to require that vaccine.

1
knuckles_ghost 1 point ago +1 / -0

Let's see... Grocery store shelf stocker... or half functional face, lets see I really need that job.

1
redditiscucked 1 point ago +1 / -0

Nice! That's where I have been shopping

1
ClaytonMagnet 1 point ago +1 / -0

It should be a choice. People are capable of doing their own risk assessments.

1
Avdimar 1 point ago +1 / -0

I am happy the school district where I teach isn't making the vaccine mandatory. I hope it stays that way.

1
grndmrshlgando 1 point ago +1 / -0

Damn straight. all this hullabaloo over people dying from vaccines got people rattled and rightfully so. Mandating vaccines should be corporate suicide.

1
Trumpman1 1 point ago +1 / -0

Thank God!

1
fbeeee 1 point ago +1 / -0

That's awesome

FlatEarth2020 0 points ago +1 / -1

There’s a sign on the door saying “ Face masks are required” where we shop, but no one has said anything to me at Kroger.
