Then why not just use the google box? You have all the info you need to look it up yourself now.
Yeah yeah I get the whole burdon of proof thing, but if you're being honest in that you just want a source for the info then you can find one now that you know you want to learn about it.
What BS? I asked a question for clarification of a claim. You're only adding confusion. Please explain the statement that the USMC reports directly to PotUS.
I think it’s confusion based on one of the missions of the Corps being a vaguely worded “ Perform such other duties as the President may direct.”
USMC has a standard chain of command like any other branch. As an expeditionary force the president has a little more flexibility to use Marines as a tool for rapid action though.
article 2 section 2 of da constitution... it’s literally da first sentence of da section. da prez shall be da commander in chief of da military. CHIEF brah he’s literally da commander of da commanders brah literally his orders are final and nobody can object unless whatever he’s ordering is unconstitutional.
What's this have to do with the question at hand? Do you know of some parallel chain of command the USMC follow different than the other services??
I'm not calling anyone a bullshitter. I'm not saying this claim is wrong. I'm asking for a source so I can be as smart as you.
OF COURSE!! The Goldwater-Nichols Act! What was I thinking!? (That's facetious).
But seriously, Just checked the wiki. Didn't see anything about a distinct chain of command for USMC.

Google says the USMC follows the same chain as the others.

shut ur dumb ass up bro
The claim at hand is that the USMC follows a different chain than the other branches, not whether PotUS is CinC.
USMC follows exact same chain of command to PotUS as all other branches. OP claimed USMC somehow reports DIRECTLY to PotUS. That's incorrect.
