Guy I ride bikes with got the call to report on the 18th. Something else is going on if they're activating the Marines.

Actually Posse Comitatus Act does not apply to the Marines, they just have internal, not statutory, policies against performing law enforcement on civilians.

Only applies to the Army and Air Force.

It especially does not apply to the Coast Guard, who performs law enforcement all the time.

Coast Guard performs their interdiction and law enforcement off the COAST. The Coasties are not roaming the mainland arresting citizens. Heck, even off the COAST you're not too likely to get hassled by them. Will have to find you the relevant ruling, but Coast Guar d is not a civilian body.

Although the Navy and Marine Corps are not included in the act, they were made subject to it by DoD Regulation (32 C.F.R. Section 213.2, 1992).
