Both. They were most likely told they can only hold their seats if they follow instructions on votes they uniparty wants. Otherwise the compromising info gets out and they lose their cushy job and numbered bank accounts

They're called neo-cons. As Pres Bill Clinton said, "they are new and they aren't conservative." They are basically the globalist-interventionist Dems who got the US into Vietnam and moved over into the Republican Party as the anti-draft/anti-war movement increased in the 1960's within the Dem Party.

Many neo-cons have self-deported out of the Republican Party under DJT, but there's obviously a few around. While they are FAR less than 1% of the Republican Party overall (Republicans are the party of non-intervention.) but the % within congressional seats is far higher than 1%.

Simply holding power is more effective than infiltration. When people discover that they can profit safely from unethical behavior, their moral convictions tend to evaporate.
