I don't believe Trump wants to throw a bunch of politicians in prison and judging by his pleas to Kemp and other Georgia politicians, he just wanted them to do the right thing. It seemed like he was saying, do what is right for the country and I won't even dig into the other things. Now he is at the point where he is left with no choice but to just unload and let the chips fall where they may. I'm sure he will hold back a few nuggets for insurance down the road, but what do you have to lose at this point. You tried and they doubled down, so if you are guilty, you better get those lawyers lined up and call in your favors at MSM.

It is not the function of the US military to make civilian arrests. I am baffled by the fascination with abuse of the military for this purpose.
There is rarely a need to arrest a politician : they are public figures, and as such, not likely to be flight risks. In addition they have substantial immunities from arrest due to their status as politicians.
They do not have immunity from aiding a foreign enemy.
