I would honestly admire something like this scenario. But, assuming this is a post-CivilWar_v2.exe scenario, a few key points before victory is declared.
Vancouver is an important sea port - make certain you establish and maintain control over it.
The Great Lakes are a big deal, but if you can switch WV/VA/NC then you'd have an Atlantic port area. GA is the largest state by landmass on the east coast so if you can swap GA and FL you'd be golden. Controlling the eastern seaboard with a bunch of autist pirates constantly yelling "ARRRRGH Matey" would wear down any seasoned soldier.
Texas secession, I hate to admit, is dependent on the residents. If the East residents think your red is ok, and the west residents think your gold color is ok, then you have a split state. A split state as far as paper is concerned but the ranchers and farmers in between sharing fences ain't gonna give a fuck what you think about a battle line.
What you need for your argument is very, very simple. You just need to ask a question: "What am I, and my neighbors, willing to teach my fellow man about self-sufficiency? Beyond that, why is central banking important to me?"
Imagine if you asked those questions. Would that map be all red, or would it be all China?
