As a rural Pennsylvanian, I really do not want Philadelphia, Chicago, Detroit, and Minneapolis all as part of my new country. You can rename “Midwest” to “Dominion Central”.
What is interesting though is that the conservatives in these states are far redder because of it. They've had to adapt and overcome living so close to the blue tyranny. Kind of like how hunting pressure makes an animal population stronger, not weaker. Outside of the blue hubs in the green states, those states are generally as red as if not redder than Texas

Every state in this region has the same problem...these are red states with little blue port city strongholds.
