Only Issue I see is with the Yellowish area and Green. They would have issue because they are land locked so trade would have to come through another said country. Basically they would either get hit with huge tariffs because the surrounding are (Light and Dark blue areas would be dicks and basically use tariff influence to push them to their ideals) now the check and balance though would be with TX LA MS and AL since they have the gulf area they can negotiate a trade partnership with them. Still though it is an interesting idea that you present.
