Trump is Commander in Chief. He ordered the Guard based on a Declaration of Emergency until 24 Jan 2021 and a request by the DC Mayor. It was a master play to surround the treasonous elements in DC with an overwhelmingly large military force. Its what I would do if I was planning the arrest of Traitors and military tribunals.

Trump said he did but I have seen report that it was from Pence or Nancy. Also have seen reports saying different state govs like NY sent them. So your guess is as good as ours.

On Jan. 6th, she ignored the Capitol Police's six pleas for back-up.
Even after the Capitol was breached, Fancy Nancy and Mayor Bowser would not send additional police or the National Guard.
So Nancy can do this?
I know she and/or Mayor Bowser can order additional police to the Capital. It is Fancy Nancy's responsibility to maintain order of Congress and the Capital.
Not positive about the Guard but some recent legislation would appear to make it possible.
The only person who can call the guard to the capitol is the president.
They are in all 50 states, governors didn't request. Trump did, he isn't concerned about MAGA crowd rioting Why does Trump think leftys are going to go ballistic? What is he going to do that will trigger them?
