Mitch won't have the trial until Biden is already in.

Trump wouldn't hold an office.

Same with Obama or Bush.

Please correct me if i am wrong.

I have seen multiple legal experts on all kinds of videos saying that you cannot "impeach" a citizen. The constitution clearly states "sitting president". Congress has no authority over civilians

So we can impeach Obama then, or Hillary Clinton, Good to know.

And what is the point if the person no longer is "sitting president"?

Does it just get dropped?

Can I trouble you for a legal site that explains this?

And let's be real; you can hate the Democrats as much as anyone, but do you really think they'd be pushing for an after-election impeachment of Trump unless it has an actual legal effect?

They would have 4 whole years to change the law as you know they do.

It still doesn't make logical sense why they are rushing it

If they agree to start the trial while he is still in office, my understanding is that it can proceed.

If that that point charges are dropped or he is found not guilty, they could not bring it up again.

Is it legal to shred ballots or prohibit proper validation of ballots .... wake up, legal, illegal, laws, constitution have no value anymore. Lady justice has been sold to the highest bidder.
