That's how I survived the Obama era. Just skim the news once in a while, got busy. I know I'll have to make a lot of adjustments and leave my comfort zone, but it's times like this I'm glad I broke the TV habit.

I can't imagine NOT breaking the TV habit. I know of people who just watch shows constantly, and the quality of them that I've seen lately is just pathetic. Is there nothing more valuable one can do with their time?

Right with you on that. It wasn't a conscious decision with me, just something that has evolved over the past few years. Sitcoms, movies, fake dramas, and even faker 'reality' TV were the first to go, leaving me switching between FOX/CNN/CSPAN until I shut them off a couple years ago. What's that you say? There's some wonderful content on Hulu, Netflix, Amazon, etc? Dreck, all of it. Pass.
