Hi all, I’ve been working on this site for the past week or so, since the unofficial TDW chat I was on shut down shortly after DC, which I was pretty bummed about. I liked having a chat on top of TD, so this is what I came up with. You can do direct chat/messaging and you are able to start group chats as well. The main newsfeed contains posts from every member of the site. You can add users as “friends” if you wish to do a direct chat and whatnot, it should be pretty familiar to everybody.
We chose an overseas server to avoid the issue of being deplatformed - big tech is crafty so we thought it wise to avoid operating anywhere that would make it easy to shut down the site. As far as moderation is concerned, it’s essentially the same as here. Be reasonable, no commies, etc.
I’ve been around a little while now, since a good bit before we were exiled from Reddit, so there is plenty of post history for you to check out if you feel like doing vetting. As an FYI I don’t intend to monetize at all. If the site ends up having a user base I may put a donation link up at some point, but that’s down the road a bit if anything. I don’t mind footing the bill for something like this. If you have questions or anything you can reach me here or on freesocial.win as admin.
