I had an intriguing shower thought the other day... What if most of the TV ratings have been as fake as our elections? Maybe for quite a long time. With few exceptions I could never figure out who was watching all the crappy shows, never met or talked to anyone who ever made any effort to watch them or showed any enthusiasm or fandom. People used to be vocal about their excitement for the next episode of "Seinfeld" or "Twin Peaks" or whatever. Did anyone ever get excited about "Two and a Half Men," for example? Were the Nielsen and other ratings Dominioned too? Will anyone even miss most of the garbage modern Hollywood produces? 🤔
