I actually saw a similar recent picture of demon Pelousi with the left eyelid down. Notice how the upper lid covers part of the pupil when it's supposed to be right at the upper margin of the iris.
This isn't Bell's palsy - otherwise she won't be able to close that eye on that side.
This is called ptosis. Possible causes:
trauma to the orbit (eye socket and contents) as in someone getting punched there? but no bruising around the eye
myasthenia gravis - body produces antibodies that interrupt nerve transmission to the muscles
inflammation of one of the nerves to the eye (for example cranial nerve III - not sure, left eye looks down and out so possible - not sure if she's diabetic?
if her left eye is out of alignment she would have double vision - so not sure if that left eye is really not aligned
chronic alcoholism - but usually with some additional findings such as poor vision in the affected eye
underachieve thyroid gland
