I still don't get the hype about Austin. I think it probably used to be somewhere cool, but nobody wins prizes for what they're not anymore.

Lake Travis is okay, but noting impressive, and quite muddy. Every major city has a comparable music scene. Traffic is terrible. Housing and COL is expensive. There is cool nature within driving distance, but you have to drive a good distance to get there. The food is okay, but not that impressive.

I guess it's less humid than Houston, so that's something.
