3.1 million people died in 2020... is this true? CDC says it is. I got into an argument with my brother about it and the numbers now agree with him.

Am I taking crazy pills?

3.1 million people haven't died from covid. Those deaths are covid related, meaning every person that died from heart disease, diabetes, etc and had covid are part of those numbers.

Typical year in the U.S. sees ~1% death.

I'm not sure if you're talking about world wide or what.

What CDC number are you looking at? They are claiming 379,255.

Ahh, that would make more sense. I don't think the CDC tracks global numbers though.
