I agree, more or less. I don't think they'll implode, but I do think they'll slowly wither and die within the next few years. Assuming the Harris administration doesn't declare Gab terrorists and seize their organization, I don't see Twitter coming back from this. The dye has been cast.

I don't see Twitter coming back even if Gab does go down.
People aren't going to go back to Twitter just because that's 'the only option'.
They'll find some some other means of communication.
Trump is off of it. Why bother with it?
