Unless the bastards got a foothold in the cities and secured things. Those of us in the countryside would more or less stay untouched.
It depends who has control of the military. The other side would likely have to do like they do in the middle east, fight guerilla style, pop up, do damage, disappear.
I'm not sure how a civil war would start exactly, but I think it would form up, not as state versus state, but as big cities versus everyone. That wouldn't turn out well for those bloated, parasitic hives, but I don't see how we'd get there from here.
