The impeachment. The 25th amendment. The national guard in DC. What you're seeing is the democrat party flexing its newly-gained muscles. I'm not dooming. I'm just trying to get this community to stay resilient. Sentiments like "trust the plan" and "4d chess" have become a liability.

The things we understand about reality and this country are almost too painful to bear. But remember, "Hope for the best but plan for the worst." Start planning.

It's full on panic. 25th and Impeachment???? They need Trump not to have power....They also need the world to think he is unstable to instill doubt in Trump that full blown action would look like a dictator move. It is a flex no doubt, but they would be able to wait 10 days to move on if they thought he was harmless. IMO

I strongly disagree. The dems are going to use the "attempted insurrection" narrative VERY heavily in the coming years, and everything they're doing now helps with that. If they didn't impeach Trump now, people in the future could ask "If he's such a dictator, why didn't you impeach him after Jan 6." Furthermore, the impeachment will fail in the senate, and they'll use THAT to say the few remaining republicans supported an insurrection. They can use all of the above to arrest republicans, put right-wingers in camps etc.
