I'm taking your story at face value cause it resonates with me. I was apolitical 4 years ago. Not really a TDS sufferer or a Trumper. I insisted "Hillary and the Establishment have it all bought and paid for, Trump won't win. If he does then it just means that by some miracle our system still works." I stayed up late to watch the election. I didnt vote. I couldn't bring myself to believe all the trash they were saying about him. Surely the country would still be here in 4 years. My first kid was born. I got a tax break for that. Trump did that. I got a raise at work. I got a better job soon after making more still. My community started to improve and expand and build new infrastructure. Then impeachment came. The 1st one. I woke up. I decided to get involved just to see if the impeachment was a real historical moment. Mybshock when I discovered that it was total sham. All those investigations and smear campaigns for what? To impeach him over a good foreign policy phone call? I hopped on the MAGA train there. I've learned a lot in the last couple years. Not enough sadly. I too have found God and have become a better man since suppirting and voting Trump. In 2020, not 2016. Unfortunately I jinxed it in 2016. Trump won and that showed our system still worked. Then on nov 3 2020 they made sure to see to it that the system not work ever again.
