It is good to have a lot of "emergency nightlights" around, in every room and especially on stairs. They go on when the power fails. You can test them by unplugging them. Once not in the wall, it is as if the power failed. They are re-charging all the time. They also serve as re-chargeable flashlights. Have a lot and give them to neighbors.
Have plenty of extra blankets.
The stores are still delivering and selling. We are all right. Just get what you need. Including plenty of Goya canned beans. And pasta and all that. And vitamin pills, and meds. Hygiene needs. Pet needs.
And treats and games that don't require electricity, and books, including children's books, and stuffed animals.
