The First Order boards the Raddis. Ackbar fights them off valiantly, but eventually the blaster is shot out of his hand. The leader of the boarding party arrives and sees a display that resolves itself into a timer in Mon Calamari, which he investigates. But he can't read it, so he demands, "What is this?"
I hate the entire idea of hyperspace ramming. Why does the Empire even need a Death Star when they can just strap a hyperspace engine to a large asteroid and ram it into a planet? The idea of hyperspace ramming breaks the Star Wars universe.
Gamergate was the start of my political awakening. I voted for Bush in 2000 and 2004, I didn't vote at all in 2008 or 2012 because I didn't like any of the candidates. Gamergate in 2014 redpilled me on how media outlets lie and collude with each other to craft narratives, and I started noticing how the progressive left was trying to subvert geek culture and turn it into a propaganda outlet. By the time 2016 rolled around, I became a Trump supporter because he seemed like the man who was best-suited to fight the authoritarian left.
True, but it did make for a cool visual, though. That 5 second visual was the "best" part of that terrible movie.
It breaks star wars though... as the death star and starkiller base become irrelevant when you can just hyperjump large ships into it.
I couldnt get over the concept of them needing fuel.... like do these ships need to stop off at the Exxon to get some space gas so they can move on to the next planet? You figure that a space faring civilization would have figured out the fuel situation long before figuring out hyperjumps...

Despite all of its faults, I will admit that The Last Jedi was visually a very beautiful movie. Nearly every frame looked great. Rian Johnson's creative decisions left a lot to be desired, but he understands photography, lighting, and visual aesthetics.
No worries, we'll flip that script and "fix" the last few movies. Cleaning out marxism. Once Disney is cleaned up; then can Make Star Wars Great Movies Again.
Kathleen Kennedy was pretty much fired. Filoni and Favreau are gonna have Lucas advise going forward. Star Wars is gonna be fucking fantastic going forward. One good thing to look forward to.
As marxism does its Long March through the Institutions the solution isn't to keep letting marxism take over and then burn down institutions (after they no longer serve marxism's purpose). The solution is to clean out the marxism.
Marxism is evil, and attracts all other evils to it. Stop the marxism, goes a long way to stopping the other evils too (pedos, kultural enrichment, etc.)
Rian Johnson and Kathleen Kuntedy did their best to destroy star wars because it was beloved by white males including myself. Jar Jar Abrams just ripped off A New Hope and didn't help either.
And Last Jedi is Empire Strikes Back remade and Rise of Skywalker is a Return of the Jedi remake. As a fan of the originals the Disney trilogy is insulting.
Right!? That movie was the worst!. I think there is a fan edit where they actually cg him back in or something. I'll have to find it. It actually made the last jedi not too bad. He recur almost the entire thing.
Ackbar's actor deserved a better send-off than The Last Jedi gave him.
If they wanted the hyperspace kamakazi scene to make a big impact, it should have been Ackbar. Not the pink haired gender studies professor.
The scene should have been something like
WHO'S GOING TO KAMAKAZI THIS SHIP INTO THE EMPIRE!?
and Ackbar should have grabbed the wheel and yelled
ALLOW ACKBAR!!!!
Jfc I'm cackling over here at that. Tremendous!
Also, fuck Disney Wars. Unwatchable garbage.
Jar Jar Binks has entered the chat, mon
XD
Better still:
The First Order boards the Raddis. Ackbar fights them off valiantly, but eventually the blaster is shot out of his hand. The leader of the boarding party arrives and sees a display that resolves itself into a timer in Mon Calamari, which he investigates. But he can't read it, so he demands, "What is this?"
Ackbar smiles dryly. "It's a trap!"
LAUNCH KABOOM
That woulda been excellent
Hola snackbar!!!!
Hah. Could you imagine the screams and wailing of the PC crowd if that was on the big screen?
Priceless xD
Hahaha xD

Rian Johnson is a pretentious hipster moron.
The Last Jedi turned me into a Trump supporter. I noticed the same folks attacking their own fanbase were the same ones who were attacking MAGA.

Tlj was the first film where I really noticed the hollywoke brigade in full force. Up until that point I just laughed at it and shrugged.

Agree on all counts.
Yeah the stupidity of it literally made me stand up in the theater. I was like bruh...what..why...what.no...
100% this
The Last Jedi did not benefit any character or actor. No one came out of that film looking great.
No worries, we'll flip that script and "fix" the last few movies. Cleaning out marxism. Once Disney is cleaned up; then can Make Star Wars Great Movies Again.
Just give the rights to filioni and boom fixed. Man does great work.
Absolutely. (Hey Dave if you're out there, we can fix the whole mess in no time flat.)
Kathleen Kennedy was pretty much fired. Filoni and Favreau are gonna have Lucas advise going forward. Star Wars is gonna be fucking fantastic going forward. One good thing to look forward to.
We can only hope that Disney implodes...

And Kathleen Kennedy (& team) lied to George Lucas about respecting his ideas (rough scripts) for the sequels.
Yarp
We all deserved better than The Last Jedi.
Yeahhh it was ...just pure yikes
Everything but the original trilogy is just Communist propaganda. What else would you expect?
