I don't live in TX but I'm close by and I would like to hear your reasons.

I'm guessing they want to live in a country where they are allowed to vote and have access to a judicial system
I don't live in Texas either. But I fully support any state seceding from this disaster of a country.
Texas has long been a meme due it's highly conservative population (besides PR Austin) and has been a leader in the US is gun rights, gun ownership, first amendment rights, small government, and freedom, liberty, and justice for all. Ted Cruz, before he became Senator, handled many court cases with the Supreme Court, He was the Texas solicitor general, and he oversaw many landmark cases.
Indeed, it is foolish to think that the memes of a state or the prominent politicians of a state are sufficient grounds for secession, but the truth of the matter is that Texas has been particularly targeted, since he is big and growing. Yet it maintains it's conservative status.
Texas was historically an independent nation. I can see Greg Abbott becoming the first president of Texas.
Texas has the money and the power to support any other state seceding, as well as put up a massive fight against the military that it may not want to do. Texas is big, too. It would take a couple days to take over the state without resistance; with resistance, good luck!
Combine nearly 30 million people with the fact that 830k guns are registered in that state and you got a well-defended and formidable state. A state that easily could become a regional power due to its excellent ports, a military that would be very strong as indicated previously, and a population that wants Texas independent.
The Texans only need their government to support secession to support it themselves.
Because Texas has the geographic location, economic power, and spirit to anchor a new nation of True Americans free from the Enemy.
For one texas would seccede then other states would follow. Texas refuses to lockdown and honestly good on them because if they do, I would enlist in the Texan army immediately to defend my rights, depending on secession. Now secession doesnt mean war, but they will need soldiers if they dont already have them. When texas secedes you will see our food producers secede refusing to want to lock down, uk because their would be starvation otherwise... It would also allow texas to not be brought into pointless wars.
Okay that is a good reason I didn't think of.
I'm a Fl. boy, but if Texas separates from this communist government. and Fl. hasn't yet, I will be on my way to Texas.
Hopefully because they let me in and you in before they close the door?
Because we can.
Good luck. You need a 2/3rd win in the Senate and after what just happened it's unlikely to happen.
But all I was asking for was reasons for support. Which you never gave so why bother posting at all?
2/3rd's in what Senate? Not the Fed Senate. Texas is the only State who negotiated a deal to pull away if the People of the State vote on it.
I stand corrected.
To stay a Republic, stay where your at!
