Hmm, it seems to me it’s the way reddit was designed to affect American ideology. Young minds are very impressionable, and it attracts users at a pretty young age. Over half of the people on the platform are from European countries that have already been subjected to the socialist groupthink. Reasonable ideas are punished, and the more leftist your ideology, the more your statements are rewarded in most subs. This is a form of conditioning tied to a points system is very hard to break. Many of these kids struggle and find it difficult to find acceptance in the real world. When you give them a platform that will give them acceptance at the cost of their free thinking mind before it develops its own ideas, it is very simple to indoctrinate children from a young age with ideas they’ll carry into adulthood

Yes. If there were no upvoting feature with a phony point system, you'd see a wildly different outcome. You nailed it though, these kids are losers and last-picked, and that makes the choice of joining the loudest group the easiest answer.
