I feel like I’m probably the youngest person to ever see a flag retirement ceremony at a public school. People think it’s stupid. The people that are the most proud for no reason at all. It’s about more than that particular flag. People today don’t want to admit that someone before them did a lot to make what we have. That’s what it’s about.
