I started out with a server about 9 months ago and quit. So today the wife and I bought a bunch of "junk" to make our own video hosting site. Screw youtube!! It will be a lot of work in progress for sure. But I believe we can make this happen! I will never ask for amazon or any other hosting platform for there services. domain is from a place far far far away! Wish us luck!!!

ive been running about 12x gen 13 dell servers in my homelab for 3 years. 80.7tb usable in a raid 6, 20.4tb in sas ssd's and another 8.6tb in nvme.
suddenly my home lab is a joke, me with my 2x dell r720's with 21.8tb usable raid 5, and a supermicro with 21.7tb usable in raid z1...
but i am a neworking guy so eah... Lol
Me too. I have an old tower with 26tb worth of drives shoved in it running Unraid on a 4th gen i5. Works great for my personal use though. I have a handful of dockers running. My crappy Internet keeps from doing much though.

No sorry I realized my mistake and fixed my original post, i am using dell r720's they were about $200 each with about 12tb in drives and 64gb in ram i don't do a lot with them. plex, some dockers, network virtualization.

13th gen are Rx30's, Storage are 2x 730xd's w 2 m1400's (for the old spinners) w r630's and a few r830's for vm and compute clusters. processors are mixed e5 v4's, except my gateway/router, that's running on an e3 v5. all connected up using 100gb capable mellanox gear, a single 24 port for the dedicated idrac, and 10gb at that earlier mentioned gateway/router, that supports and is connected via gpon to my provider.

gonna upgrade the one processers into 2 and higher versions. I'm not Youtube so funds are limited but my will is strong.
