If we can bring a goddamn hospital ship up the Hudson in record time and convert the Javits Center into a field hospital, we can provide these soldiers with a pillow, FFS.
Their inconvenience of not having a crib/bunk won't matter much to them, but the media will exploit it yugely.
I don’t know if this is true, not a military person, but isn’t it standard for military to expect to have to sleep in uncomfortable environments? I mean, yeah, the halls of congress are less sanitary than the Middle East, but not that much. Right?

I am not saying get a sleep number for everyone ..but a $25 cot would do wonders.

Even yoga mats would be better than nothing! I've had occasion to try to sleep on a tile floor, it's nothing nice.
