Yes and I believe at farmer's markets the farmer's make much more than they would by circumventing the grocery store. Good on you.

That's great. I used to shop two local stores for the very same reason until recently. One used COVID as an excuse for terrible customer service. The other has hired some really miserable staff. They don't greet you, look you in the eye, say have a nice day or anything like that. They are just miserable and it no longer pleasurable to shop there. And coincidentally the majority of them look Trans or LGBT. Maybe that is what happens when HR becomes woke and hires for diversity instead of competence.

I have cut out most of the big business, I have not been shopping at walmart for most of my life. The only places i have to make an exception is books and certain tech supplies. Finding a local computer part store that doesn't have absolutely abysmal stock selection is difficult and if you are buying a lot of obscure books finding those at local book stores is pretty much impossible.

Menard's in Wichita followed me in the store telling me I had to wear a mask then said they wouldn't serve me without one so I left! Unfortunately I went to an Ace but... still smaller

still counts! i had a business tell me i needed to wear a mask too. i said 'no thank you' and left. gotta train them like dogs. do a good thing get a sale. act like a commie- no treat.

Yes masks are only being enforced because people are allowing it!

Switching all Walmart purchases to Target (their sore loser tweet to Josh Hawley), and Target is a U.S. company.

Switching ALL Amazon purchases to in town or direct purchases from U.S. companies. (Ugh which means I have to get rid of Audible, too.

Switching to using cash more often (so cc companies aren't taking money from my vendors)

Quitting using Square for cc processing. Don't know where we'll go yet but Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey owns Square (I believe)

Costco is....safe (as In they're U.S. based) but local is better.

Found this site: https://www.madeinamerica.co/pages/thelist seems helpful

And checking all clothing tags for where they're made.

Oh and Fox News....I won't even click on an online article from them, knowing they'll get .5 cents if I do.

I support this message. Thankfully every day I am hearing more people waking up to supporting local, honest, and American businesses over marxist oligarchs & technocrats.

My family has been doing the same for a while now. Way to go, pede!

I hope people post this more! Are used to be a five times a week Amazon shopper and I buy nothing not local! They are working for the CCP! We must work against them!

I agree with this. This is what we must do.

i don't know if you can get around the MC visa deal....maybe you can get just an account debit card without any CC logos? i thought that used to be a 'thing' not sure if they're still available.

honestly we bought ourselves a safe. it's located right next to our bed and our massive gun collection so i doubt anyone's walking off with it lol. and i saw in the news that the feds have seized money from that gym owner who refuses to close for COVID. they just took it right out of his bank acct. makes me feel good i keep my money out of banks (for the most part)

Unfortunately I don't have that here because our governor is a nazi and our conservatives are too lukewarm to do anything.

Personally, I'm really sad about amazon. I loved using them, but I just can't deny at this point that supporting them is supporting evil. For me, it's going to be a royal pain to ween myself off of them. I still wish they would just pull their head out, reverse their decision and apologize, but I already know that's not going to happen.

BTW, amazon owns Whole Foods. Don't do business with them either.

yes i was a big amazon user...but i gotta say i've been shopping local for the past couple weeks now and it's actually a very pleasant experience! it's like so many mom & pop stores have been ignored and it's kinda a ghost town shopping in them, but the people are so friendly and grateful that you're there. it just feels good man. such a simple way to do my part. thanks for your comment!
