It's very simple. Either we oppress them, or they oppress us. They will not tolerate us being free. You don't see it from here, but real freedom of speech inevitably leads to genocide. So, the people who will be the victims of that genocide attempt to squash free speech at every turn. Wouldn't you? If you knew everyone who was remotely related to you would be hunted down and killed if the truth of history was to ever come out? Wouldn't you try to stop free speech?
