I don't know about you but I moderate myself willingly. So does everyone else. It's a choice often made for little gain. Likewise, nobody forced people not to get involved in PTAs, education boards elections, etc. We abandoned those fields willingly. People don't have the time or the inclination to get involved in those things and I can assure you nobody is forcing people to stay home and not have a say in who their children's administrator is. People do that all on their own.
I have a bunch of leftists friends (California), and they all love that shit. It's called a "social deduction game".
I tried playing a couple times and pretty much hated it because the goal is to either lie shamelessly or doubt people you have no objective reason to doubt. All the problems in these sort of games could easily be solved by factual investigation or some kind of authenticated ID system, but no, none of that. You just sit around suspecting everyone while everyone talks.

The other guy is right, it's not just boomers. Oddly seems to be very young raised where they never got to see a functional, honorable society with a strong people. And the very old who just can't understand the scope of everything happening now. Gen X and Millenials seem to get the bullshit going on better than anyone.
