Our current government organization is predicated on XVIII-century information speed. We need to make referendum the corner stone of modern democracy at the local level, but also above. I revere the Constitution but it becomes abundantly clear that elected officials do not respect It. So time for the people to speak again.

The U.S has gotten too large for representative government to function. It either needs to balkanize, modernize the system, or choose another mode of government.
