Our current government organization is predicated on XVIII-century information speed. We need to make referendum the corner stone of modern democracy at the local level, but also above. I revere the Constitution but it becomes abundantly clear that elected officials do not respect It. So time for the people to speak again.

So we write it into our new constitution when we secede. The first document ought to be revered, and we shouldn't deviate far from the protections it offers, but it's obvious at this point we need a reset of our own. We ought to seek out the weaker parts in the document--like the fact that private entities can censor free speech without repercussions--and make sure we close those loopholes.
