Yeah its a thread on crypto. There are more Ancaps and Libertarians there than lefties. After reading the comments, I do not think they are being red pilled as they were red pilled already.
That sub usually jerks off to liberal nonsense. See the top post there its a thread celebrating Andrew Yang lol. Most political threads usually have a TDS comment or so, and anyone arguing otherwise gets downvoted hard
Oh, I am not saying that they are red pilled on POTUS, they are however on the government as a whole. To be into crypto and actually invest into it, one must understand the monetary system/fiat money/ federal reserve inflating the currency. So, yeah, Id say a lot of them are hardcore anti gov people.
Thats true with original bitcoiners, those who were there around in 2010 and before till 2013 maybe - they were the true libertarians in the crypto space, with massive distrust of governments. Thats how bitcoin came about in the first place, and the early discussions used to be on how to keep wealth private, how to have actual financial privacy etc.
But now there are dime a dozen knockoff coins and majority of the people on that sub or any crypto forum are all there for the money, for profits.. they are not there out of their libertarian and anti-gov beliefs.
Reddit is a Chinese military asset
So is bitcoin
