I was there, in DC. My hotel was only two blocks from the White House. I had to leave Trump's speech before he ended, partially because I was getting angry, but mainly because the cold was kicking my arthritic ass hard.
I got to my room around 5 minutes after Trump ended his speech, immediately called the wife and she said I needed to check the live feeds, so I did. Within 10 minutes the "rioters" were inside the Capitol.
There's no way the bulk of Trump supporters at his speech made it to the Capitol by the time the "rioters" got in. It's like a 30 minute walk, and it was cold as fuck.
The whole thing was a setup. I just can't tell who was setting up whom at this point.
I imagine Trump's team smelled a rat, and it's very possible that his people dragged their feet setting up the glass and that he gave a rather low energy and rambling speech to counter the "storm the capitol" plan.
Too many weird things happened at the Capitol that day.
Pretty sure it doesn't matter whether or not we do anything on the 20th either because Antifa/BLM is going to go out with pro-America gear and the propaganda machine is going to kick in and say Trump supporters are evil terrorists and if we do not immediately denounce Trump, get on our knees, raise our fists, we must have a mental evaluation. Gun grabs and more after that. But who knows. They are really pushing the propaganda HARD. Comparing some people walking around a building to 9/11. That's a slap in the face to every family member and survivor of 9/11.
Before Trump started talking, I was standing in line for the bathroom by the Washington monument for an hour and a half (ugh). A while before he came on, there was a group of maybe 20-30 being led by a woman on a megaphone that were walking past our line, towards the capitol. She was screaming “GET THE FUCK TO THE CAPITOL WHO GIVES A FUCK ABOUT WHATS HAPPENING HERE, GET TO THE FUCKING CAPITOL!” And everyone just kinda looked at her like she’s a nut and went back to whatever they were doing. Trump was about to speak and thats what everyone wanted to see, plus it was like 10:30-11 and the vote didn’t start until 1 so why would we miss Trump to stand in front of an presumably empty building?
People were there for 5, 6, 7, 10 hours or even more. Even people who brought extra batteries had to be sparse with what they chose to film. Plus, it was cold. Batteries drain faster when temp is that low. Also, a bigger thing is that very few people showed up at the capitol building. The crowd was at the monument. Do you really expect people who showed up at capitol intent on breaking in and the antifa agitators there to just give you a documentary about it? There were "reporters" there both official and unofficial and "press" so basically every angle you could want was covered. If you haven't seen something from that day, it's because you didn't do a good enough job looking or someone chose not to upload specific footage only they recorded. There were plenty of cops there, foia the footage from them or directly from the DC cctv system.
I left the speech early too, and by the time I got to the capitol, there were already tons of people there. I was fairly close to the front, and nobody around me even knew anyone had gone in the building until 4 or so, way after it had happened. We saw all the people on the media tower and the scaffolds and all that, but that just looked like rowdy protest stuff, and the capitol police were still up there, they'd just formed a different perimeter.
None of us had any idea of what was going on inside. We were there to show support for Trump, for following the constitution, and to let Congress know we were not going to sit down quietly and allow them to silence our voices. I knew this would be spun some way or another. Didn't think it would be this bad though. They've really landed a psyop haymaker on us here. There's no doubt.

I'm wondering where all the cellphones were at and why they weren't rolling for everything.
