Before Trump started talking, I was standing in line for the bathroom by the Washington monument for an hour and a half (ugh). A while before he came on, there was a group of maybe 20-30 being led by a woman on a megaphone that were walking past our line, towards the capitol. She was screaming “GET THE FUCK TO THE CAPITOL WHO GIVES A FUCK ABOUT WHATS HAPPENING HERE, GET TO THE FUCKING CAPITOL!” And everyone just kinda looked at her like she’s a nut and went back to whatever they were doing. Trump was about to speak and thats what everyone wanted to see, plus it was like 10:30-11 and the vote didn’t start until 1 so why would we miss Trump to stand in front of an presumably empty building?

I'm wondering where all the cellphones were at and why they weren't rolling for everything.

People were there for 5, 6, 7, 10 hours or even more. Even people who brought extra batteries had to be sparse with what they chose to film. Plus, it was cold. Batteries drain faster when temp is that low. Also, a bigger thing is that very few people showed up at the capitol building. The crowd was at the monument. Do you really expect people who showed up at capitol intent on breaking in and the antifa agitators there to just give you a documentary about it? There were "reporters" there both official and unofficial and "press" so basically every angle you could want was covered. If you haven't seen something from that day, it's because you didn't do a good enough job looking or someone chose not to upload specific footage only they recorded. There were plenty of cops there, foia the footage from them or directly from the DC cctv system.
