Lets say there is some 4d chess and Trump stays in office. If the senate moves forward and actually finishes the impeachment hearings and they find Trump guilty won't that remove him from office? Could that be why they are still so vigorously going after him?

Because the only way GEOTUS stays in office another 4 years is with the IA, in which case Congress will be desolved and reinstituted.
Thats what I figured.. so its also an insurance policy just in case the murmurings of a "Trump Card" are actually true. They are killing 2 birds with one stone.
They cant vote if they've been arrested.
Depends on what this plan is.
If there is massive voter fraud and this is an illegitimate election then I would hope that all of the races must be looked at. If illegitimate members are in the House and Senate the impeachment should not be valid.
