At the very least they could have a home page up on any private server simply stating, here's what happened, here is what we are doing, our expected timeline. Be patient.
They haven't even done that, so it makes you wonder what their motives are.
There is no reason for their home page to be down right now.
I agree that a temporary homepage could be convenient, but technically that means having a server already and so on, which could be risky and/or difficult for Parler in this situation. Actually, being completely offline for the time being is the safest option for them.
